In recent times Indy has been suffering more frequently with her asthma, and on the evening of Saturday 30th January 2016 she was having difficulties. She made some improvements as the evening drew to a close, sufficient for us to turn in for the night. We talked last thing about how important it was for us to look after each other, and that we were always there for each other.
I awoke with Indy cuddled up to me, and wished her good morning. However I quickly realised that she was not responding, and that something was very wrong. All attempts by myself and the paramedics to resuscitate her proved unsuccessful and she was declared dead at precisely 9:00am on Sunday 31st January 2016.
A post mortem was carried out, and on Thursday 4th February the coroner reported that the cause of death was 'ACUTE ASTHMATIC ATTACK'
I am comforted that Indy had fallen asleep and as such was most likely blissfully unaware of her predicament. I recall how contented she looked when I first opened my eyes and turned to her that morning, and therefore I am certain that she passed on peacefully and so did not suffer.
